Coaches
All coaches have attained a minimum International Rugby Board Level One
coaching certification and have at least 3 to 6 years of coaching experience
with children.
The current coaching
team includes :
Marcus
Yeo ex-national Captain / player and current rugby coach for
primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.
Serena Yeoh captain of the National Women's Team, with
experience coaching children of various age groups.
Po Chong Fu SAJS coach from 2000 to 2003, Blacks Team
(Men's and Women's)
Ang Wei Yi current national player and coach of the
Blacks Touch Team (Ladies and Development).
Khairula current rugby coach for primary, secondary
and tertiary institutions, currently coaching Blacks Development Team
(Men's)
Physiotherapy
Trainers
The team will be led by a qualified physiotherapist, Karen Koh,
with many years of experience. She has previously worked in the Singapore
Sports Council and has vast experience working closely with various
national teams & NSA’s. (for instance, rugby and soccer).
She will be overseeing Sports Safety and First Aid, Strength and Conditioning
plus Sports Nutrition. Her team of trained physiotherapists will also
be present for the duration of the training sessions to tend to any
injuries.
Sports Psychologist
As for sports psychology, Mr Vasanth Gopalan and Mr
Gene Tong, who have both conducted trainings in the Singapore
Sports Council, will be conducting the sessions. The main focus of this
module is to help the children learn how to be focused on particular
aims, be able to set objectives, and more importantly, establish good
communication skills in their interaction with their team mates.
